Piano or Guitar: Which is easier to learn and master?
If I as a complete beginner were to purchase one of these instruments which one would be easier to learn and become great at. I want to ‘master’ it in a sense that when I play people would say ‘wow she’s good’ rather than sounding like an amateur.

Piano is easier to a point but at certain level it demands more of you than guitar so it really depends on how much time you intend to put into it. Piano is a much more satisfying instrument to learn because it sounds so good by itself and guitar lacks the depth and versitilaty that piano gives you. In your situation I would get a piano simply because (in my perception) its the most beautiful instrument between the two. You also have to take in to account what type of music you’ll be playing.
Pick one. If your determined to get good at the instrument, you will get good at it (assuming your not tone-deaf or have zero musical ability.) However, whichever one you do pick, you MUST really enjoy playing it. If you don’t, you’ll get tired of practicing it, become frustrated, and move on. I happen to play guitar. I thoroughly enjoy playing it and I could play nonstop for multiple hours. So if you choose something like piano, you have to really like playing it, otherwise…pick guitar? There are more than just those two instruments also. You could try something like saxophone, drums, vocals (if you count that as an instrument), bass, violin, etc. But whatever you pick, enjoy playing it, even if you suck at first (whick you will. everyone does.)
the piano is a lot easier, i play both and you dont need to know all these notes and stuff and you can go from playing really simple stuff to really cool fancy songs(:
Don’t play the easier instrument. Play the instrument that sounds best to your ears. You have to love playing it or else you’ll just give up.
