Do I have to have the same brand of an AMP as my Guitar?
Will my electric guitar play any better with its brand name amp. I have a Peavey Electric Guitar and a regular amp.

No, you do not need to have the same brand. Every brand of amp has it’s own sound. I don’t use an amp at all. I just plug my earphones into my digitech processor.
No, they don’t have to match, in fact most guitarists don’t match name brands. If you want to experiment and have some fun, try to get a Line 6 amp or an amp that’s based on modeling technology. I think Vox makes one too. You can then switch between the sounds of a dozen or so amps all built into one box.
